Crate Stack at Outdoor Elements

Stack ‘em High! The Crate Stack challenge at Outdoor Elements is one of the most dynamic and exciting height activities offered here at our beautiful woodland activity centre. This is a true team effort with everyone contributing towards success.

Crate Stacking is a simple game. Stack the 24 bottle beer crates one on top of the other and see how many levels your tower can reach before it topples and falls. First, the team will decide which members of the group will be climbing the crate tower because the number of levels only counts if one or two of your team are stood on the top of that level. The climbers will be harnessed and secured with safety ropes so that when the tower topples they are left safely dangling in the air like puppets. The rest of the team have to keep a close eye on the tower whilst they help to stack and support it and be prepared to quickly move when the crates fall.

This is one of Outdoor Elements most popular activities with a real sense of team achievement and is great fun.

This activity is often used as part of our team building days and when we have multiple teams it gets very competitive to see who can achieve the tallest tower.
