Health and Safety Policy Statement
Written risk assessments are available for all team building programmes and outdoor activities.
Outdoor Elements holds Professional Indemnity, Civil Liability & Employers Liability Insurance cover.
Staff are fully qualified/trained in the activity and have received clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously CRB).
All staff are first aid trained.
Outdoor Elements is registered with Lancashire County Council.
Outdoor Elements is registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service as licensed to provide specified activities under the following headings: Climbing, Trekking, Watersports.
Outdoor Elements – Participation Statement
All activities have been risk assessed. Written risk assessments available on request.
All instructors are qualified in the activities they will be leading.
All instructors are registered and have received clearance through the disclosure and barring service.
All instructors are First Aid Trained and will have access to a First Aid Kit.
Outdoor Elements holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity (including errors or omissions) Insurance cover.
Outdoor Elements cannot be held responsible for personal accidents and recommend participants take out their own cover if they wish to be insured against personal accident.
Outdoor Elements cannot be held responsible for any accident whilst travelling to or from the venue. Participants will be covered in the event of an accident whilst a passenger in vehicles being used by Outdoor Elements.
Participants having received a brief from Outdoor Elements staff take part in the activities at their own risk.
Participants must understand that activities offered are of a physical nature and may result in minor cuts, grazes, bruising, strains and sprains.
Participants should notify instructor staff when questioned any medical or other condition that may affect their ability to take part in the activity.
Outdoor Elements reserves the right to refuse participation if the customer fails to follow health & safety guidelines for the activity.
No alcohol or drugs are to be brought to the centre or activity venues. Smoking is in the designated area and to avoid disruption to the programme should be at agreed times.
